Logicor, a leading owner, manager and developer of logistics real estate in Europe, has acquired a c.100,000 sqm brownfield in the Czech Republic, further strengthening its presence in this key market and nearly doubling its footprint.
Fulfillment provider ShipMonk is opening its first distribution centre in the Czech Republic at Panattoni Park Cheb South, continuing its expansion into continental Europe. The new facility is the twelfth property of its kind that ShipMonk will operate. The construction was secured by property developer Panattoni and the investor is Accolade.
The developer of industrial and industrial halls P3 Logistic Parks is going to invest massively in its Czech portfolio this year. It plans to buy land and existing parks located in attractive locations. This year, it plans to expand its portfolio by tens of thousands of sqm of space that will serve future tenants in the logistics, light manufacturing, retail and e-commerce sectors.
The third industrial fund ARETE has started construction of a new modern hall, which will be located in the industrial park ARETE Park Rokycany 2. The Swedish fashion chain H&M will lease the currently largest warehouse space in the Czech Republic in Panattoni Park Cheb. The transaction will surpass in size the newly opened distribution centre of Amazon in Kojetin, which was also built last year by the developer Panattoni. The park is owned by the Czech investment company Accolade.
A new logistics centre of 4,000 sqm was opened this year by the logistics and technology company Zásilkovna at Borské Polí in Plzeň. The building, which can serve the entire Pilsen region, has become part of the Arete fund.
Perex: Panattoni has completed the construction of six industrial halls with an area of over 243,000 m2 in 2022, creating over 2,400 jobs. 18 contracts have been signed with clients, which will bring an additional 3,500 posts. It currently has 11 halls under construction with a record 545 thousand m2. The Amazon distribution centre in Kojetin became the largest completed construction. It offers 187 thousand m2 of leasable area on four floors. It is distinguished by modern technologies, with robotic units working on order processing. Photovoltaic panels have been installed on the roof and heat production is provided by pumps without the need for fossil fuels. Pavel Sovička, Panattoni's general manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, said that the company focuses on building on brownfield sites, where it can apply ecological elements from the very beginning.
According to a study conducted by 108 AGENCY, almost half of all industrial buildings in the Czech Republic have received green certification as of this year. As the market continues to develop, the number of certified properties will increase further.
