Czech logistics and manufacturing are increasingly running on solar power

Developers, tenants and owners of industrial and warehouse space in the Czech Republic are currently investing heavily in their own solar power plants. This trend reflects not only the progressive modernisation of the energy sector, but also the gradual move away from dependence on fossil fuels. Within this wave of innovation, we are also seeing extensive technological modifications being carried out in parallel on many buildings, aiming at an overall cut in energy consumption. One of the largest rooftop solar power plants to date is at the Urbanity Campus Tachov industrial park, with a reported installed capacity of 5 MW and an approximate annual production of more than 5,000 MWh of electricity.

Industrial property market shaped by shorter supply chains and lower carbon footprint

Manufacturing companies are commanding a growing share of industrial property leases in the Czech Republic. In doing so, they are steadily displacing demand from logistics companies and tenants engaged in retail, especially e-commerce. In the second quarter of this year, lettings to manufacturers accounted for 60% of the 266,443 m2 newly leased. When lease renewals are factored in, lettings totalling 567,445 m2 were closed in the second quarter, up 50% on the previous quarter. These figures come from a fresh analysis by 108 AGENCY, one of the leading real estate consultancies for industrial property leases and sales.

ShipMonk expands into Europe, opens distribution centre in Cheb

Fulfillment provider ShipMonk is opening its first distribution centre in the Czech Republic at Panattoni Park Cheb South, continuing its expansion into continental Europe. The new facility is the twelfth property of its kind that ShipMonk will operate. The construction was secured by property developer Panattoni and the investor is Accolade.

P3 Logistics Parks will significantly expand its portfolio in the Czech Republic this year

The developer of industrial and industrial halls P3 Logistic Parks is going to invest massively in its Czech portfolio this year. It plans to buy land and existing parks located in attractive locations. This year, it plans to expand its portfolio by tens of thousands of sqm of space that will serve future tenants in the logistics, light manufacturing, retail and e-commerce sectors.

New construction in ARETE Park Rokycany 2 has started

The third industrial fund ARETE has started construction of a new modern hall, which will be located in the industrial park ARETE Park Rokycany 2. The total value of the investment will reach EUR 40 million. The park is intended for a long-term tenant, which will be the Duvenbeck Group, a provider of comprehensive logistics services.

Record lease transaction on the Czech industrial real estate market: H&M leases a giant hall in Cheb

The Swedish fashion chain H&M will lease the currently largest warehouse space in the Czech Republic in Panattoni Park Cheb. The transaction will surpass in size the newly opened distribution centre of Amazon in Kojetin, which was also built last year by the developer Panattoni. The park is owned by the Czech investment company Accolade.
