Kion Group factory in Stříbro expanded with an automated warehouse

Kion Group, a supplier of intralogistics equipment, continues its expansion at Panattoni Park Stříbro. The factory with advanced technology and fully digitized information transmission, where Kion manufactures intralogistics equipment, has grown by an additional 6,000 square meters to a total of 66,000 square meters. The project also includes a new fully automated distribution centre.
In addition to the construction of a new automated warehouse, the changes implemented include the expansion of two existing buildings by a total of almost 6,000 sqm. The production area of the welding plant was enlarged, the number of parking spaces was increased and charging stations for electric vehicles were established. The final phase of modernisation is now underway, during which technology is being installed in the automated warehouse.
The Kion Group has so far used four buildings in the industrial zone in Stříbro. In three of them, it manufactures forklift trucks from the Linde Material Handling and Still brands, as well as Dematic conveyor systems for a number of global companies and large international airports. The fourth building serves as a dispatch centre and logistics hub for other plants in Central and Eastern Europe.
The Kion Group has invested billions of crowns in the Stříbro plant in recent years. The owner of the industrial complex is Accolade Industrial Fund, the developer of the project is Panattoni.
Michal Kříž, senior director operations at Kion Stříbro, expects the changes to ensure the Stříbro plant's long-term competitiveness in Europe and Asia.
The production, logistics and warehousing processes in Stříbro are to a large extent fully digitalised. It is a so-called paperless factory, most of the administration is done electronically. The cumulative value of the premises used by Kion in the park exceeded EUR 110.7 million (approximately CZK 2.7 billion) at the end of the first quarter of 2025.
